Local State of Emergency

The Bingham Farms Village Council held a special meeting  on Monday, April 5, by videoconference, and approved a resolution extending Bingham's local State of Emergency  to December 31, 2021.  Council may determine at an earlier date to end the State of Emergency once the COVID-19 pandemic no longer threatens the health, safety and welfare of the village.

Until then, all meetings within the village's jurisdiction will be held by videoconference. This includes meetings of the Council, Zoning Board of Appeals, Planning Commission and Design Review Board.

In accordance with Public Act 267, the village will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services to individuals with disabilities requiring such services regarding meeting attendance. All requests must be made to Village Manager Ken Marten at 248-644-0044, 313-657-3706, or kmarten AT binghamfarms.org.

The village office will operate under safety protocols until the State of Emergency is lifted. Visitors must make appointments and the number of guests in the office is limited to one at a time. We encourage business to be conducted by mail, email, phone, fax and videoconference to the greatest extent possible.
