WRITERS LIVE WITH VICTORIA LAURIE
Stop by the Baldwin Public Library on Sunday, September 21 at 2:00 p.m. to meet New York Times bestselling author Victoria Laurie. Laurie will be reading from her latest Psychic Eye Mystery, Fatal Fortune, as well as taking questions from the audience.
Fatal Fortune is the 12th book in the Psychic Eye series. These books center on Abby Cooper, a professional psychic intuitive who has everything figured out, except her personal life. Abby navigates mysteries with help from her best friend and business partner, Candice Fusco, and the love of Abby’s life, Dutch Rivers. In Fatal Fortune Abby must trust her own intuition and gamble on her future when Fusco is accused of murdering a man in cold blood.
Laurie, who grew up in Birmingham, has written several other book series including the Ghost Hunter Mysteries Series for adults and the Oracles of Delphi Keep series for children. In early 2015 Laurie will debut her first young adult novel, Death Date.
In addition to reading from her book, Laurie will also be offering up her other talents at the Writer’s Live event: her intuitive abilities. Laurie was a professional psychic for many years before she published her first Psychic Eye novel in 2003 and continues to offer her psychic services. During her presentation at Baldwin Laurie will take questions from the crowd for those attendees who would like to ask her for some intuitive insight. She will also be taking other questions about her books and writing process.
"We are all so happy that Victoria Laurie has returned to become part of our community,” said Connie Ilmer, Head of Public Services. “This should be a very special event which will give everyone the opportunity to meet this very popular author.”
Books will be available for purchase and signing at the event through Book Beat bookstore.
